Umaid Bhawan Palace, a royal residence built in 1943 by architect H.V. Lancaster is made of very high quality sandstone, which does not get weathered. The palace boasts of excellent art deco and world-class amenities. A part of palace has been converted into a hotel and a museum. It is one of the finest luxurious hotels in India.
